This is my favorite hotel I have ever stayed at. I got a free upgrade for my birthday and the view and room were INCREDIBLE. I almost turned my trip into a staycation. I ordered room service twice and took the best bath of my life every night. The desk area was perfect for a big meeting I had. There was also turn-down service, and all the staff were incredibly attentive. I even took advantage of the spa as my hotels.com membership gave me a discount. I also thought the bar was nice though it wasn't very full. I would happily stay here again. :)

The staff at the hotel were amazing. Proactive, service minded and super friendly. We arrived late and the receptionist Jennifer was so helpful and friendly arranged late check out. The staff at the lobby was also friendly. So staff and service top notch. But the hotel was old, alot of wear and tear, almost feeling that a renovation is needed to maintain the standard. But the staff did the best with the ”product” they had.

I was very impressed with the timely response of staff who assisted with arranging a wonderful half day tour of Old Shanghai and the French Concession. The hotel room was spacious and very clean. Check in was also very smooth and David was very helpful in assisting with joining Fans of M.O. and readily assisted with explaining the many facilities at the hotel. I definitely enjoyed the high quality swimming pool and the spa treatment was another exceptional experience.
