The location and view are unbeatable: right in front of Balikgol. There’s plenty of food & shopping around. The receptionist spoke surprisingly good English. The rate is reasonable for the location, room size, and functioning mini fridge and air-con & heater. There are some boutique touches to the hotel too — such as painted doors with hand painted figurines.
My only dislikes are the somewhat worn facilities: chipped wooden cabinets, aged bedsheets, old shower tiles, slow shower water drainage, and some rather homemade improvisations such as a hole above the bathroom door turn-handle (not a knob door) to help hold the door in place against the wall — there is a heated towel rack on the wall with a knob which, when slotted thru the hole in the door, holds down the door turn-handle in a locked position so that the door stays in place, without a door magnet or slotted holder.
Those are all issues with individually replaceable parts.
No complaints about the pricing and service.
