Saslong Smart Hotel is relatively new — and unfortunately, that might be its only real advantage.
The hotel is located outside of the main villages in the area, which makes finding nearby restaurants or cafés inconvenient, especially in the evenings. You’ll likely need to drive for any decent dining options.
The rooms are decent in size, but they lack air conditioning, which made our stay uncomfortably warm. Even with the windows open, the rooms remained stuffy during summer nights.
The beds were particularly disappointing — no mattress toppers and poor-quality mattresses meant you could feel the springs directly against your back. This led to several nights of poor sleep.
Parking was good.
All in all, I would not recommend spending your money on this hotel if you’re planning a visit to South Tyrol. There are many better options in the region, both in terms of comfort and location.
