"This was our first time in Asia, first time in the Philippines. Everyone said Palawan was beautiful, so we planned around it, and almost didn’t include Nacpan at all. We nearly just stayed in town the whole time. Really glad we didn’t. Nacpan doesn’t have a lot going on in terms of restaurants and nightlife, but the resort itself has a pool, a gym, a massage area, kayaks and SUPs to borrow, and there were other vendors nearby renting sandboards. We could have stayed busy all day. But honestly, lying on a sun lounger watching the sunset was enough. We stayed overnight instead of rushing out, and because of that we got the full sky of stars, the bonfire, and breakfast with the sea right in front of us the next morning. All of that would have been missed on a day trip. The front desk staff found out it was our first time in the Philippines during check-in and shared a bunch of local tips with us, and even taught us a few words in the local language. That small thing left a really good impression of the country on us.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​"
