The room was clean and very comfortable. If you are looking for a hotel room with amenities like HBO this is not the place but it is a perfect stay for a history buff and someone who isn't staying in their room all the time. There are lots of restaurants nearby and plenty of things to add to your itinerary.

Great access to Main Street. Quiet and peaceful.

It’s a neat house and clean. Even though you are inside a house with other guests it was fairly quiet. There are not any televisions in the room so that helps keep the quiet. The linens aren’t very comfortable so bring your own if you’re gonna stay for more than a day or 2. The parking is easy and plenty of room. Overall very worth the price to stay. Will return.

The Herren House is an interesting property with a rich history. Close to downtown. Very clean. We stayed in the Bowman Room, which was conveniently located on the first floor. The beds were okay but not super comfortable. Lots of snacks & cereal for my 15 year old grandson. The courtyard is sweet but somewhat unkempt. We will stay again.

Did not see any staff during our 3 night stay. Someone did come by to fill up the coffee pods container for the Keurig and also clean the general bathroom downstairs but did not see her/ him. The place is old with squeaky floors, sticky doors and squeaky beds but overall it has a clean good size room and bathrooms, with ample free parking. All exterior doors and individual room doors auto lock itself. Great location for it is just a couple of blocks from downtown Waynesville in a good quiet neighborhood. Took advantage of the breakfast buffet at the Old Balsam Inn, about 7 miles away for less than $9 for 2. Same owners so you do get a good discount. Will stay here again next year. Already did a reservation.

Beautiful historical Inn! Great location for dinning and shopping downtown. The house does need several repairs outdoors and I’m need of severe pressure washing and deck cleaning and repainting.

It was nice room wish there was more for food and stuff

The Herren House is historic and meets all of the charm of a house that old. The location was absolutely perfect to walk to town for shopping and meals. It was very clean but dated. The check-in was seamless, automated, but impersonal. The room was spacious but chilly. Additional blankets and a rug or drapes to close would add to the warmth. I'd stay there again but plan on the chilly room better.

The room was clean, parking is exceptional and it’s just two blocks off of the main drag with a restaurant

Always enjoy staying here due to proximity to the town and ample parking. We did run into problems with WiFi , staff attempted to resolve quickly. Toiletries and towels provided. Coffee available.

Parking access was easy. The house is just a short walk to restaurants, breweries, shopping, and a great bookstore ( eg. Wall Street bookstore) The house has a great porch and garden to sit in too. The staff were very responsive and helpful.

The place is very nice and clean however I booked a room with two beds and I got one with a king size bed instead.

No hangers in the closet. Bed too elevated for 80 year olds to climb into.
