Garden Court East London
"Check in was nice and quick. The staff not so friendly but very professional. They could use some customer service training and smile a bit. I had a really great room with the view of the pool and the ocean and the garden is beautifully maintained. They skimp on amenities.. no lotion no shampoo/conditioner. I had to ask for more milk, coffee and sugar. They have a minibar in the room but no water in it (rolling my eyes) Breakfast is not the nicest in terms of variety. They only have decaf of offer ridiculous if you ask me. I had fish with savoury rice for supper, it was so delicious so tasty. My time at the poolside was total bliss and the weather didn't disappoint. I extended my stay and the front desk lady was kind enough to let me keep my room. Overall I had an amazing stay!"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in East London
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit East London is between September and November, when hotel prices are generally lower. For a budget-friendly trip that allows you to fully appreciate the city's key landmarks, historical sites, and cultural attractions, an ideal stay would be at least 2 to 3 days. During this time, you can explore the stunning whitesand beach, the picturesque sand beach, and the vibrant coral reefs. Additionally, you can enjoy activities like surfing, visit the local port, and take in the wildlife at the zoo. With lower prices during this period, it’s a great value for money for those looking to experience the adventure and luxury that East London has to offer.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to East London, start by exploring the Deals or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. To stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you identify the best options. By keeping an eye on price changes or room availability, you're more likely to seize a great last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you save on your stay at an East London hotel. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and, at times, better value. When you make a booking through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the cost is on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you find the best deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be pricier, but with East London's superb public transport connections, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well linked. For those interested in exploring alternative, less populated neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative locations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
