EN HOTEL Hamamatsu
"AC look to be"
Grand Mercure Lake Hamana Resort & Spa
"I really enjoyed my stay here. The onsen was so nice and well maintained. They offered drinks in a lounge like area before entering the onsen and after you get out. The local tea was so good, I think it was called usuchatou (the spelling might be wrong). The rooms were nice. The breakfast was so delicious and had a big variety. We were a group of 4 and stayed in a traditional Japanese style room and as Americans it was our first time having to lay out futons so it was fun. The staff were amazing, we don’t have service here and twice they called a taxi for us after asking and were very kind. Definitely 10/10 one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed at so far in Japan."
HOTEL SUI HAMAMATSU
"We had a lovely stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were absolutely beautiful — so friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again."
Crowne Plaza - ANA Hamamatsu by IHG
"This hotel has a perfect location, just a block from the train station in central Hamamatsu. It is clean, comfortable and very pleasant. With several restaurants, a nice bar and small cafe it has everything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Shinshiro
- Book for the cheapest times: If you're looking for an affordable getaway, consider visiting Shinshiro in January, February, or June, when hotel prices are lower. To fully appreciate the key historical landmarks and cultural attractions, a stay of at least 1 to 2 days is recommended. This budget-friendly trip allows you to explore the area's rich heritage, including museums and historical sites, as well as its stunning natural parks. With careful planning, you can enjoy a great value for money experience while immersing yourself in the unique culture of Shinshiro.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Shinshiro, visit the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, helping you maximise savings. Additionally, Smart Shopping is a handy comparison tool available through the app, allowing you to compare hotel prices and amenities. By using these features, you're more likely to be informed about price drops or room availability for a spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay at a hotel in Shinshiro. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and, at times, better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price tends to be on the higher side, we’ll recommend alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you secure the best possible deal.
- Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may provide convenience but often comes with higher costs. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the sites you wish to visit. You might also explore independent hotels a bit further out, which are usually more likely to offer a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
