Stayed in Room 1 which was big by many room standards and tastefully furninshed. My only request would be to have a higher chair/stool for using the table if you needed to work. The en-suite was well equipped with a great shower and both rooms were very clean. The continental breakfast had a great choice to eat and drink. A short walk and you are in the town centre. I would definitely recommend and just wish there were more places like No10

Great place to spend a night or two to explore around Tain. Tiny town, so everything is walkable (Glenmorangie distillery too, albeit along a somewhat busy A road at least for now - there is a private car hire). Breakfast is Continental, but good, with fresh berries and hot croissants among other options.

Newer B+B in Tain - Excellent!

We rented three rooms, out of the four available. All were excellent and had a lively time in Tain. Book here if you’re in the area and you won’t regret it! The owners are lovely people and we enjoyed chatting with them.

We arrived before n 3pm and the front door was open and our keys ready for us. Room warm and very inviting, immaculate with very tasteful furnishings. Good continental breakfast.

We just stayed one night at No.10 and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Everything that you need was provided. A spacious room, a comfortable snuggle chair, a comfortable bed and a clean and modern en-suite bathroom. No.10 has 4 rooms, we stayed in room 3. I have no hesitation to suggest that all the rooms are of an equal high standard.

Disappointed

We were booked in for two nights. Breakfast for the first day was really good and the owner was very friendly and helpful. However on the final morning we woke up to no heating or hot water. It had been a cold night -5, so you can imagine the room was cold. We were the only guests staying. My first thought was, the heating had been switched on. I met the mother of the owner, who hadn’t realised there was no heating or hot water. I told her that I would like a shower. She checked the kitchen taps to confirm the situation. She phoned her son Apparently the wood chip boiler hadn’t been filled up the previous night and to switch on the immersion heater I felt a bit annoyed as he was aware that there would be no heating. As we were leaving at 10, that wouldn’t have given time to heat up the water. She offered us a kettle of hot water to wash our faces, then we had breakfast. Not as much choice as the first day. Whilst we were eating the son in law turned up and filled the boiler and left, no apology. The mother said they needed the heating ready for the evening as 3 rooms were occupied. If the heating was working and breakfast as good as day 1, this review would have been an excellent.

What a wonderful place to stay. Tain is a small and charming town. My husband golfed at Royal Dornoch and it was an easy drive. Most important the staff at No. Ten was fantastic. SO accommodating and kind. And the breakfast had a great variety and was substantial. I highly recommend the location!!
