This resort is very clean. The rooms are comfortable, the beds were medium to firm, and the shower had good water pressure and temperature range. The AC worked well and the mini fridge was always refilled with beer, soda, water and Iced Tea. The balcony is nice with rods so you can keep your items out to dry easily. The outlets are all European, so US visitors should bring an adaptor. There are USB-A and USB-C ports that work great. There is a safe available and a phone, but no clock.
All reservations for the al a carte restaurants at the Mangrove can be done via website they give you at check-in and they were good, with the BBQ being out of this world. The Seafood Tavern and Dushi Sushi make some really good fish that my wife enjoyed and she is not normally a big fan. The Italian is fine, but nothing to get excited for. The Turkish restaurant was amazing and very authentic. The Mexican was not great and needs to be revamped.
The drinks are good and almost anything you want can be made.
The biggest issue for us was the check-in. The reception people are unhelpful and unfriendly. They ran us around at check-in for 2 hours even though they told us our room was cleaned and should be ready. The staff overall needs some training on hospitality, but there were some good people (Otun, Ebebentiku, and Vienny). The pool is deep and is about 5'5" throughout the whole thing, thankfully it was clean.
