When we first checked in, the first room offeded was at the rear, not a front river view as booked and pre-paid. The receptionist did move us to a river view room after checking with the manager.
After a few days, water started coming through the ceiling of the bathroom when the shower in the room above was used. This in turn came through and soaked the carpet in our room, making it uninhabitable. We were initially moved to a room at the end of an upper floor but this had no wkfi signal. The next room offered was at the rear just above some noisy fans. Eventually by juggling bookings we got a room at the front, with wifi and no flooding.
The hotel location is good, far enough from the centre to be quiet, but an easy level walk to tne grotto and basilica which is the reaso we and everyone comes to Lourdes. It primarily caters for organised groups and individual guests can feel marginalised. For example the main, larger dining room is reserved for groups at breakfast and we had to use the smaller first floor dining room where the food and service were only average and poor value.
If they can sort out the plumbing and wifi, this has the potential to be an excellent hotel. For now, we would not return.
