Great room - smallish but perfectly planned, including a lovely balcony; welcoming, friendly and efficient staff who couldn’t do enough to help. Sorrento is an excellent bustling, cultural location. The Hotel Astoria is ideally located in the centre but with a quiet, calm ambience.

Would Stay there Again

Delightful hotel in the midst of shops, restaurants, and more. Close to Piazza Sant’ Antonio and easy walk to Piazza Tasso. Staff excellent and went out of their way to help locate a driver to Naples airport when other arrangements fell through. Would stay there again.

Nice location in the city. Our room was in a new area of the hotel which was in a construction zone— no lift access after the 1st floor. We were on the 5th. Drains in BR were slow to drain. Excellent breakfast with efficient oversight by staff

The balconies have classic views of the square and little shopping streets. Many amazing restaurants right outside the door. When you want to quiet the sounds of singing and and enjoyment, the high quality windows do the job! It is an easy walk to the train, marina, shopping, restaurants, etc. And the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Astoria Sorrento. It's in a great location, right in the center of town with a multitude of restaurants and shopping just steps away. The hotel was very clean, with a very nice lobby. The complimentary breakfast offered a great variety. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms have balconies overlooking a pretty outdoor garden/bar area. Great place!

The overall stay was very nice. Great location and morning breakfast was a nice benefit. Rooms were much smaller than expected. One of the rooms the a/c did not work very well. Bugs were bad in the courtyard in the evening.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our garden view room was nice but a bit on the smaller side. They had a wall mounted hair dryer which was very hard to use and it did not get that hot. The shower was nice and water pressure was very good! They had a nice breakfast buffet. We would stay here again. The only downside for us was we were located close to the elevator and the hallway floor is tile so heard lots of noise as people were coming and going.

The staff at Astoria were amazing, from helping with our luggage up to our rooms and showing us around its amenities, it was immensely helpful! We ended up having an issue with our room and Carmine and Paolo were amazing in helping us resolve it. They have great customer service and we’re so kind to fix the issue in a way that worked for us I want to commend Carmine and Paolo in particular for their great service!

Great hotel, just organise your own transport!

Lovely hotel, this is not a modern hotel but if you are looking for typical Italian style, this is the hotel for you. Great location, friendly staff. Communication prior to arrival was great, with Maria answering all my questions. We would have liked a room with a bigger balcony, as the 3 of us could not fit out there all at the same time. Noise from the corridor outside our room could be a little noisy at times. I would still recommend this hotel to anyone. However, I would not recommend asking the hotel to organise your taxi to the airport. We were told pick up would be 7.30am, taxi turned up at the square at 7am, we therefore did not get to the square until 7.15am by which time the taxi had left and instead of paying €110 euros as expected, we had to take a taxi from the rank which cost me more than double at €230 (equivalent to £200 for an hour journey!)

This hotel is such a charming hotel that is right in the center of everything . Perfect for my daughter and I to walk to everything from the port , to restaurants and shops. We stayed 6 nights for my daughter’s graduation trip and would 100% stay again. It is the perfect location to be used as a base for day trips to Amalfi coast, capri, and Ischia. The staff was simply phenomenal from the front desk staff to the breakfast crew. Raffaele and Alessandro made our mornings , both so nice and extremely helpful. We can’t thank them enough. The breakfast choices were plentiful but had a lot of pastries which that is not exactly what we were used to . There was fruit and some bacon and eggs and other items we did enjoy but my favorite was a cappuccino machine . I was able to get my coffee fix .
