We were only in Switzerland for a couple of days as part of a larger trip but the Hotel Bären was ideally located to explore the Interlaken region and for hiking around Kandersteg. The views from our room were stunning and the area was quiet and relaxing. It is preferable to have a car when visiting as the hotel is 15 minutes or so up a relatively twisty road. The staff were friendly, check in/out was straightforward and the breakfast was really good!

This hotel is amazing. The village is quiet. The views are stunning and the room decoration is fabulous. Also Bogdan is doing a great job in the kitchen. Tip: book a room with a jacuzzi at the deck.

Difficult to find anyone to ask any questions regarding parking etc. Had hot water for shower at night but cold by morning, maybe due to number of guests having used hot water before us. Would have liked better pillows. Breakfast was pleasant and sufficient.
