Overall a great place to stay! The showers in the room I stayed at were kind of weird and looked broken but for the price, I will take it any day. They have wonderful service and a guitar which I was able to play while I was not doing anything. I would totally recommend it.

Hostel is close to a lot of tour companies, so easy to just walk to these places and pay in cash for a cheaper tour (foregoes processing fees when paying online). Hostel also has paid laundry options, and there is also a launderette right outside. Otherwise, friendly staff, comfortable beds, and a large kitchen area

The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and the entire ambience of the place is calming and cozy. WiFi was great too. Note though that the 9 bed dorm consists of triple bunks.

Not good

Not very inviting, and my room was next to the front desk, so it was noisy. One of the women from the front desk was welcoming and nice, the same cannot be said for the others. The condition of the hotel was poor and comfort was not in top. The common areas were not lit up after sundown, making it very uninviting.

had an absolute blast with the owner Henry. at one point because i was staying there so long and basically became a veteran after 9 days, he told me i am the boss at night and to keep the hostel safe. what an honor. the smoking area is by far the best place for a conversation in all of La Fortuna. IM VERY UPSET I HAD TO LEAVE EARLY BECAUSE OF SICKNESS FROM THE GYM!!! one thing that if your american, be prepared for cold showers but other then that. the place really made me feel like i had a home and the owner told me i can stay with him literally whenever i want if there’s a bed open.

I booked the dormitory, but changed it to the private room because i didn't feel well and wanted my own shower. I paid the extra cost, only to find out that the shower is the private room didn't work. At all.. Very disappointed

Ojalá cambien colchón

El lugar es lindo en el pasillo y el lobby, la habitación muy simple, aunque el colchón olía muy feo, entre pies y humedad, eso fue muy desagradable. Es un edificio antiguo, tiene sus detalles, para pasar una noche, tener lugar para dormir, está genial por el precio pero no volvería por el olor de la cama. Había mucho ruido y música en el lobby hasta pasadas las 11 pm, por lo que fue difícil conciliar el sueño.

L'auberge est super bien située et est en plein centre de La Fortuna, ce qui permet de se rendre à tous les attraits touristiques facilement. La petite famille qui s'en occupen rend la place super chaleureuse. Edgar, qui est bilingue, était toujours là pour nous donner de bons conseils par rapport aux activités que nous voulions faire et éviter les attrapes touristes.Un gros merci à lui. L'hotel a 2 chats super colleux que nous avons bien apprécié flatter. Il y a un bon entretient de l'espace,la cuisine est spacieuse et il y a un joli coin repos très confortable. Nous vous conseillons fortement cette endroit pour un séjour!10/10!
