Old but Charming Hotel
Very old hotel, no lifts. Large rooms. Plumbing issues, blocked shower and basin. Kitchenette no dishwasher or supplies to wash dishes. Great supermarket nearby. Buses to city short walk only. Staff helpful and pleasant. Ground floor large windows on the street sidewalk so no privacy unless curtains closed.

Fair 4.0
Ludicrous check-in policy.
Our enjoyment of a weekend in Seattle was severely compromised by not being allowed to check in until 4.00pm. Although it does state on their web site that check in is from 4.00pm I never expected that this would be so rigidly adhered to. The rooms are large and the beds were comfortable, though they did feel a little tired. At least the rooms were clean which was to be expected after we’d been kept hanging around for four hours while they prepared them. Overall we’d have been better booking a Holiday Inn.

Way better of an experience than i expected. Worth every penny.

Poor 2.0
The hotel needs to be rehabed. We arrived to find eurine in the toilet we changed rooms and the overall room was not in any better condition. The type of hotel you wish you had brought your slippers to because of the conditon of the floors. The tub was so stained/dirty we decided to shower would be a moot point. The beds had clean sheets and were comfy.

Marqueen is a gem
Very friendly front desk, bell and bar staff. Super clean and quiet. Huge rooms. I love the old feel of the hotel except the faucets run and can be stiff and hard to shut off.

Good 6.0
The staff was very friendly. The room was not what my reservation described it to be. The room was large but sparsely furnished. The only place to hang clothes was in the furnace closet. The bathtub faucet and handles were old which made it difficult to turn the hot water completely off. There was a kitchenette in the room but very limited dishware. The best thing about the room was the windows prevented much of the street noise which can be substantial in this neighborhood. The hotel is also in a great location - very close to a variety of restaurants and one of the best grocery stores of all time.
