Old and tired
The hotel is just really old and tired. In other words ; it’s falling apart. The floor in the gym is broken in various areas, no remotes for aircon or tv to be found. It’s very disappointing.

Claridge is a lovely little hotel with wonderful staff and service. I loved the decor in the reception area and the restaurant and bar. The property was nice, however the staff was excellent. Sergio at the pool area was very helpful and was very sweet. He made up for the very average WiFi and breakfast which was very average. I’d stay there again only because of Sergio. Thank you, Jeff

Certainly a 3 star at best. Property is old and needs massive renovations but location is pretty central with lots to do. My room card didn't work ever and the staff was all to willing to NOT fix the lock or change rooms. Def could use a good cleaning too.

Charming but in need of some care
Well-located with lots of Old World charm such as the wood-paneled bar area off the lobby, the Claridge could nonetheless use some attention to detail and a cosmetic touch-up. The service in the bar was chaotic and slow despite a lack of customers, and the room had no clothes hangars in the closet. The bathroom was clean and serviceable but very small. The pool was welcome in the heat and the gym had plenty of equipment. As a clock fan, I appreciated the working English grandfather clock in the lobby.

Hidden Gem in Buenos Aires
Claridge Hotel is an old timehotel in the banking district. Very close to Casa Rosada and all the shops ofCalle Florida. The staff at the hotel is amazing. The decor is authentic, but it would benefit of an full refurbishment of the all common areas. The rooms have been upgraded and they look lovely. The hotel still retains al the original taps and furniture which makes it soo special. The pool is seasonal, but due to the end of November being usually warm in Buenos Aires, it should be open from Nov 20th rather than from December 1st. I had a Livy stay and will book again!

Would not recommend. Needs upgrades and maintenance. Missing a lot of small things for a 4 star hotel. Rooms are small, bathrooms even smaller. Internet was very very problematic, could not stay connected for very long. Much better hotels in the city for about the same price.
