Terrible hotel
This was literally the last option we had for a hotel in Abha. The listing says 'OYO' and there were 3 of them in the same district.
We could not find the hotel based on the location on the website or the booking confirmation. So we drove to the other two OYO hotels... and I have never found such apathetic and hopeless service. Utterly disappointing services and to get one of the staff to point us to the right hotel felt like getting blood out of a stone. You are providing a service to the public, at least act like it even if you have to fake it.
We did eventually find ourselves at the hotel, which was under renovation. Luckily the Panda supermarket was around the corner for us to provide the basics to ourselves. The rooms were very basically appointed, but not even toilet paper was provided. The bed sheets were at least new, but the bed was uncomfortable, the noise from the traffic was unbearable and the air conditioning was so loud we could not sleep in the main rooms with it on. Hands down one of my worst hotel experiences out of all the hotels in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia!
OYO should stand for 'on your own', because you had better prepare to survive!
