Great place to stay for a quick, cheap trip. Everybody in the hostel is super nice and respectful, while also doing their own thing so its pretty quiet. The interior was SUPER clean, the staff does a great job making sure of that. Overall, great experience, and would love to stay with PodShare in the future!

I just got back from staying in hostels all over Europe for a couple months. This is nicer than most places I’ve stayed. It’s super quiet. Large fan provides great white noice. Staff is lovely. Great communal space.

Everything was exactly as expected upon arrival with the very clear directions sent to me at my remote check-in (which I was very grateful for as I wouldn’t gotten to my event on time otherwise) Other travellers were very respectful and quiet, even outside “quiet hours” the only downside is having 2 restrooms to accommodate all the pods. Had to squirm for a bit upon waking up as both were occupied for showers. Otherwise a great Hostel. Sadie was a wonderful hostess and ensured I had everything I needed as I headed out into town for the night.

This has to be one of the worst Hostel I have stayed in. The place itself is very hot. No AC or fans inside where people sleep, it doesn’t even have window. It feels like a oven, I have no idea how anyone can sleep comfortably in that type of temperature. It is dirty, smells disgusting and a lot on the people staying there live in that hostel.

One of the Top 3 Hostels in San Diego!
Was just in town for the night on a gig contract and have stayed at Podshare several times in the last few years. Steven & his staff do a great job managing the place plus I'm glad to see that ownership allowed them to put up a "Clean your dishes" sign!

I wasn’t expecting a facility that made me feel totally uncomfortable and racially unwelcome during my stay. Next, I was told that I couldn’t wash my clothes because only the manager at the facility was allowed to wash my clothes, but when I asked her to wash my clothes she told me “NO”. At 3:33 am in the morning I was awakened by loud talking when I was told that “Quiet time starts at 10pm and no TV after 10pm. Finally the shower in the facility was unsanitary and dirty. I took pictures of the unsanitary shower

Loved it except for the bedbugs
The place was clean and staff and other residents were super friendly. I liked my pod and having AC and an ice machine were major bonuses. The only downside was there were major bedbugs. In all fairness, as soon as it was reported they did a heat treatment so I wouldn't be carrying them off with me anywhere.

Excellent PodShare location. Staff is friendly and helpful! They offer day pass use for both the common area and the lockers in the lobby. There are a couple long term guests and some who are overnight only. Exactly what I would expect!

I had reserved the pod share for myself and my family member but we decided that it would be better to stay in a hotel. I was charged for the whole 4 days and only stayed for 1 day. That is unsatisfactory in my opinion. Other than that it is a cozy feeling place to stay. They have community coffee witch was nice and community kitchen, tables, and livingroom in the common area.

Everyone was fantastic when we got there. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, however the quality of our company left us feeling unwelcome toward the end. This was not the Hostels fault as far as I can tell, it was just unfortunate circumstances about what was being watched on the communal TV. If you're okay with paying a little too much for pod-style accommodations where you may make some friends, by all means. However if you're looking for more privacy or, in our case, members of the LGBT community you may want to look elsewhere. We are two trans women and it was a little less than ideal.

I’ve stayed in 72 hostels as a free lancer and I’m other capacities both pleasure and work related abroad and in the US. The noice in this hostel was unbelievable. There’s no sound coverings at the top of any of the rooms! I found the one staff member there in the mornings to be cold and the tenants to be just as rude. There’s so many hostels in that area! I’d really encourage you to find another one, especially if you want to shower. It’s cold, tiny and less than appealing. One of the worst I’ve seen and I’ve stayed in some not so fancy places! The lack of respect I felt was pretty unreasonable and I promise you I present as pretty warm (and respectful). I was thus surprised to see and experience what I did while I was there. The one good is it lets you check in by 10am and some hostels are later, but I’m reaching for a positive.

BEWARE THE PHYSCO APARTMENT MANAGER W/ BEAR SPRAY!
I've stayed here 7-8 times in the last year or so & virtually every time I've been harassed by the attached to the Podshare is a condo building's apartment manager 6-7 times now verbally because I was smoking a joint on the street corner, this old little WITCH B*TCH this last time gives me sh*t verbally again only this time she walks past me then turns around and comes up behind me and as I felt someone behind me I turn around and she has a can of bear spray already frickin pointing right in my face!!! She sprays me at point blank range & basically ASSAULTED ME!! Had it not been for the fact I was blinded, hit the cement & had my eyes were on FIRE I would have called the police then and pressed charges! Staff at the Podshare had told me the first time I had a confrontation with that lady that "she hated the hostel being there & wasn't the first time she had harassed guests for standing out front of the hostel, smoking or not! The next day I stumbled by the Podshare to pickup some of my things I had left & the jerk desk clerk dustin said I was kicked off the property and leave or he'd call the police, gave me some bull about me being in love with some girl I had just met there he was hitting on or something I don't know, I thought he was gay but maybe don't know, either way he refused to let me get my things! To top it all off the witch was outside the hostel with a couple goons waiting for me, followed me down the street threatening to beat me up & I'm blind, right!!
