Say pet friendly but frown on it!
The comfort was great it but we were put in a room that was located by the stairs, you could definitely hear people constantly going up and down them. Then, the employee that checked us in was very nice and had explained that there would be an additional 30.00 per night pet fee, this was fine with me. I paid the additional amount but in the morning at checkout there was a different employee at the desk. She wasn't as friendly. She ask how many pets i had whereas the night shift person didn't. I told her 3 small dogs, she said "you know I need to charge you additional fees", I wouldn't have minded paying additional pet fees but the contract that I had signed the night before stated a flat 30 dollars! My pets are very well trained and house trained! This hotel says that they are pet friendly but really they frown on it!

Great for a short stay
Garner Hotel in Macon, GA, has been recently updated. The room we stayed in was very clean - new carpeting, fresh paint, updated bathroom fixtures. It would be nice if they would add a coffee maker to the rooms. The included breakfast was adequate, but average compared to other hotels. The young lady who checked us in was very gracious and kind. Very nice for a one night stay.

Nice and convenient just off the freeway which also makes for some freeway noise - but not terrible. We really liked the well cared for grassy areas for our little dog, although I think the $30 pet fee is excessive. $15-20 was typical on our trip. Clean and comfortable. Decent breakfast.
