Front desk staff were lovely. I’m a returning customer and I will most definitely be returning again! The facilities, rooms, in room coffee, shower pressure, mattress and pillows were wonderful! The pool is saltwater and (I believe) heated. It was hot so I’m not 100 percent sure. It really was a comfortable and restful stay.

My wife and I stayed at The Dana on Mission Bay for a short San Diego getaway and had a great experience. We stayed in a Junior Suite with an ocean view, which was perfect for our trip. The property was clean and well kept, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We also really liked the location. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby within walking or biking distance, which made it easy to get around and enjoy the area without having to drive everywhere. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay at The Dana again on our next trip to San Diego!

Overall good location. I prefer the bay side to the boat dock side. The rooms are larger and nicer. It was very annoying that they charge guest an added 6% to their checks if you eat at the Firefly restaurant. That’s so weird. Never seen that before. It was a very nice place to stay for a couple of days. Very close to lots to do. You can catch an Uber or drive because it was central to lots of things. I would recommend this place. One downfall is having to pay for parking. That is my only complaint and wish I had seen that but because I reserved through Hotels.com I didn't know. Up the cost of the rom a little and make parking part of the room cost. It's easier to eat that then the latter

In general The Dana is a great place . I am being picky giving a 4 star for the maintenance of out door grasses with gardeners seeming to need to make noise mowing or trimming main grass Parkside (next to bay) not just one day but 2 or 3 days 7:00-8:00 am. One day should get the job done. Our balcony needed to be washed down from bird droppings. The rooms are clean and the place is very dog friendly. The pool next to the Firefly Restaurant was very clean and nice with enough umbrellas . Staff were great , friendly and helpful. Nice bar drinks and restaurant food varied. Outdoor dining a plus. Pretty lights at night. Grounds have nice tropical Plants everywhere. Friendly and nice to walk the grounds.
