8/10 Very good

Accommodations were a good size for the cost. The arrangement of the toilet outside of the actual room was a little funky but that's okay. Natalie was the only one we had contact with was not well suited for dealing with people. When are traveling companion was injured on a step in the hotel Natalie was more concerned about telling her that she should have let her know that she was not going to dinner at the restaurant that Natalie made a reservation for her. You will enjoy this day here if you avoid talking to Natalie. And avoid in the waiting room on the couch that the dogs use.

Nathalie was a great host, the room was beautiful, the food delicious. It was perfectly located to be able to walk to restaurants and the sights in Arles.

2/10 Poor

The host was the most disagreeable person I've probably every met. She insulted me multiple times in front of other guests and her friend...she just treated me like crap. I will request a partial refund. Furthermore the place stank so badly of all sorts of smells but mostly gallons and gallons of horrible overpowering heavy perfume that was an assault on the senses.

Everything about Maison Douce is excellent! Owner Nathalie treats you as a personal house guest, doing her best to see you have a great time in Arles. Maison Douce is an old house with very modern stylish internal fittings: the rooms are comfortable, spacious and quiet. Some brighter reading lights would be welcome! Continental breakfast sets you up for the day : we enjoyed the friendliness of the indoor communal seating and there is an outside terrace ,too, for warmer days. Maison Douce is perfectly placed for the old town and is on key bus routes. We would happily stay again : this is a real home from home.

A gem of an Inn in the heart of Arles.
We booked this lovely Inn prior to departing on our River Cruise out of Arles. Nathalie is the owner and a very gracious and accomodating hostess. She speaks 5 languages fluently and goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable. Her breakfast was amazing, full of fresh baked breads, fresh fruit, fresh juices, crepes, eggs, meats and cheeses. We will stay there again if we ever find ourselves in Arles

Beautiful old home, stylishly decorated. The owner was delightful and the morning breakfast was uniquely presented with local products. We would stay here again anytime! Only suggestion we would have is that the parking entrance was a bit difficult to find.

A wonderful experience!. The host is remarkable for her insights into the town of Arles and the region, as well as for her interest in making you feel welcome. The room was beautiful, the quality of the bed linens, the delicious breakfast with local products- it all added up to an outstanding experience. We extended our stay.

A fantastic place with culture
L'hôtesse (I choose not to use her real name, respecting her privacy) was very kind and helped us with her knowledge of the town, arts and culture, which we deeply appreciated. We were very lucky to be given a room with a spacious terrace. The breakfast consisted of local products - jam and cheese in particular - and l'hôtesse kindly explained the origins of the products. The living room, library and the garden are open to all guests. The location cannot be better.

Hyggelig personlig service. Charmerende, trygg parkering i gården. Lett tilgjengelig fra hovedveien og bare minutter unna gamlebyen. Men: skiltet som viser hotellbygningen er lite og unnselig .
