Comfortable stay
A spacious hotel, comfy beds and nice bathrooms, if a little dated in places.
Only a one night stop for a family occasion, really well positioned in the city and easy parking (although chargeable).

Excellent value for money
Great stay at the Mercure. We had a double room that was generous on space, a very comfy bed and a lovely bathroom.
We came back to the bar late evening and the service was excellent.
It is perfectly placed to be able to walk into the centre of town or the quay in five minutes. It has its own car park which is a bonus too.

Friendly staff and lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Wanted to use the pool and jacuzzi and was disappointed to hear there was a £10 charge per person. This seems wrong when he you are staying overnight as a hotel guest. Hotel in great position for shopping, cathedral and the quay.

Beautiful hotel and friendly professional staff
Our first impression was amazing but sadly we didn’t stay the night because our daughter and son was in a road accident so we had to leave with in 10 minutes of entering our beautiful room.

Too hot!
Told air conditioning wasn't working on arrival but could open windows. Windows didnt open. Small fan available which did nothing. Hardly slept as room so warm and stuffy. Furniture looked old and bed frame had a rip in it.

Exeter city hotel
Well situated hotel which I’ve stayed in before. Room was ok but the pillows really lumpy and uncomfortable and bed sheets bobbly feel. Very noisy as above entrance and staff lon break or guests smoking outside talking. Disappointing now costs £15 to park and also have to pay for pool use as this was included last stay. Not sure if I’d stay again.

Needs some TLC
Room needs some work and lots of things broken in hotel. Breakfast cold and fruit was frozen.
