I used to visit this hotel 15 years ago, and it was a little surprising to see how tired the decor and furnishings had got. Breakfast and dinner was good, the short rib to be recommended. Can't beat the location, so it's still a good choice, but hopefully a refurb is due soon.

The Bostonian is a lovely hotel. It's centrally located near the waterfront, the North End, and Boston Common/Public Garden. The Bellhop, William, was so welcoming and friendly, as was everyone on the valet team. I gave the staff a low score because of the hotel receptionists. They were aloof and seemed disinterested in helping us. Not the reception I would expect at a hotel of this caliber.

The hotel is in an excellent location. The hotel is dated and needs updating. The bed was really soft and hurt my back. I did the valet parking but should have parked in the garage across the road. I will try another hotel next time.

While the location was great - walkable to many of main historic points, the hotel and staff were less than ok. The doorman Andy was the exception; he was friendly and helpful. Room had non-working fridge, and was missing basic things like wash clothes. The mattress squeaked every time you moved. I would not recommend. Breakfast credit is not worth it.

Great Location .Desk Staff very helpful .Hit with a $30.00 per day destination fee . Rooms were dated and worn. No Housekeeping . Had to request towels 3 times and ended up going down to the desk to make request. Skip breakfast at the hotel restaurant, extremely expensive.
