Horton Grand is a beautiful old hotel in the middle of the Gas Lamp Quarter. If you are looking for great accommodations with a touch of history this is the place.

Nice hotel

The hotel was wonderful, in a perfect location. The courtyard was below the guest rooms and when people sat there it was very loud, we could hear their conversations crystal clear, kept us up at night and woke us up in the morning. The bar was very nice but the service was not that great.

Beautiful Accomodation

We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Horton Grand in San Diego. For us it reminded us of the French Quarter of New Orleans. The building is well maintained and spacious with lovely architectural features throughout the building. Rooms were spacious and even though they are set in the time period the building was built they offer a wonderful retreat from anyones time in the city. A short walk to the Baseball stadium, restaurants and easy parking. This is a quality family owned Hotel that offers wonderful accomodation.

Beautiful historic building. Absolutely loved the courtyard area, especially at night. Bed was very comfortable & having a fireplace in the room was a cozy touch. Cashed in our complimentary drinks tickets at the onsite bar. Very nice bar & dining area, drinks were good, service was slow though. Would definitely stay at this location again.

Wonderful location, beautiful rooms, mine had a balcony to the courtyard. The courtyard is beautiful, too. A bit dated, but they were working on rooms and one of the elevators while I was there. I would definitely stay again!
