Very good 8.0
Great hotel and great location.
The hotel and the location were fantastic. The executive signiture room was lovely. A good size and great views. The bed was comfortable. The hair dryer was dated, you had to hold a button down for it to stay on. The shampoo etc were in really hard difficult bottles to squeeze so was really frustrating whilst trying to have a quick shower. The executive reception is in a tower far away from all the executive rooms and attached to the side of the lower grade rooms so not too conveinient. The staff were not to friendly on the desks. For example i asked for an extra key and was grilled due to security measure they had to take which i said i understood, i suggested they call the executive reception so i could be verified as i had already handed in my passport etc. They would not make the call it went on for a bit until she realised that me asking for an additional key was easy resolved by a quick call ( which she originally refused to do!) By making that call. I mean i should not be telling them how to do thier jobs efficiently. I explained i was tired and it would be helpful if she could issue a key and save me going up in to the opposite tower to where my room was just to get an additional key. Breakfast and concierge staff were all amazing and so helpful. Breakfast area had a good choice and a takeaway self service coffee machine.

Exceptional 10.0
Beautiful Hotel close to everything!
This was a 5* hotel with great room. Everything was very nice and modern. Breakfast was very expensive. But its expected in a 5*. There are many eating places just adjacent to the hotel lobby. There is actually a big food court where you can find many eating choices at reasonable prices. Hotel is about 5-10 minute tax ride to most attractions, which are mostly towards the Marina Bay. The river cruise was awesome, do it at night time. Its about $25 for adults and $15 for kids but so worth it. The Gardens by the Bay was so so. I am not so much into gardens but went anyways since it had great reviews. I did not find it any special. They didn't have many flowers as they show in brochures. Mostly tree and plants to look around. Hotel concierge were very helpful in giving travel tips. We were 4 of us and we mostly tavelled using the train. You have to purchase a Eazylink card and use that for travel in train, bus. Train was only 2-3 stations (10 min) to Marina Bay area. Fare about 70 cents. Or you can always take metered taxi. Not too bad either. Wifi was the best speed we found during Asia trip. Its free!

Poor 2.0
It was a nightmare to stay in this hotel, I'm traveling with my little daughter for the CNY holiday, when we checked in at 7th Feb 1900, hotel front desk informed me that they have a renovation, everyday 1000 to 1800 our room may have some noise from the renovation, also the adult swimming pool are closed on 1100-1500,,, Once I back to room, I heard the drilling noise clearly in my room, that is already 1920, we called the front desk to our room and they did heard the noise loud & clear, they told me that they don't know where the noise came from, will investigate for us. Also promise the noise will be started on tomorrow 1000 onwards. The next day 8th Feb morning, 9:27am the drilling noise start, we called the front desk and asked the to come to our room, they heard that again, told me that last night the noise are from their rooftop renovation which 11 levels above my room, they don't know that will affected to my room, for the drilling noise right now, they said already informed the workers to stop and start again at 1000, within this conversation, the drilling noise never stop, obviously they can't control the workers. I packed everything to change other hotel on 8th Feb evening, the hotel arranged another hotel under their group (paid by myself), cancel my remain booking (charged 50% of 7th Feb room fees) and arrange transportation to the new hotel, do you think this is compensation? Will you pay SG$500/night to stay in a drilling noise hotel!

Exceptional 10.0
Fantastic hotel!
A fantastic hotel with extremely helpful staff right in the heart of Singapore. Close to the sights and the MRT train station located in the Raffles Mall. Joanne the receptionist who checked us in was particularly helpful and attentive, ensuring our requests for twin beds and a high floor were fulfilled. The staff on the concierge desk were also very helpful in answering our questions Breakfast at the Alligator Pear restaurant was superb and the menu at Prego good. Selvi was particularly helpful and friendly at breakfast and after she’d gone on holiday, the place was not the same without her! The poolside was clean and the sun beds available also nag with an endless supply of clean towels. I would have one very tiny moan! I am allergic to nearly every air/carpet freshener known to man so this gripe would be inconsequential to most people, but the vacuums used in the lobby were full of the stuff and this awful fake smell permeated the air continually! I completely understand the reasoning behind it but it made a high class hotel smell like a bordello and the assault on my eyes, nose and throat was painful! In all, if I travelled to Singapore again I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Good 6.0
Good, but not exceptional as was expected
Had a pleasant stay but underwhelmed would sum it up. Unable to check in on intended day due to flight problems so phoned to ask them to hold the room until we arrived the next day. Told ok...clearly hadn't as check in took quite a while and they had obviously given our room to someone else. This was confirmed when we got to the room as there were chocolates and a card addressed to someone else....which a porter then came and took away. Wifi not free unless you join presidents club first. Bottled water also not free and would be charged extra as with mini bar items!! No stairs so you can be waiting quite some time for a lift. Pool area good although not enough loungers. Free towels and cold water available here. Lots of restaurants but cannot comment as we didn't eat at any of them. Spa is great but are separated into male and female. Good if you need some space but not for a romantic holiday. Couples treatment available but quite expensive. Hospitality lounge was a nice touch for guests who had checked out but had later flights. Bottled water was free here! Also shower facilities. Would I stay here again...possibly if the price was right but not for what we paid. Marina view room is a must however.
