The best part is the cheap price at $23
The location is amazing. The elevador is original and manually operated. It’s not 23/7 so sometimes you will need the stairs. The staff are amazing. The hotel is run down. Woke up on Saturday morning at 7:30am to the sounds of hammering and drilling. What hotel allows their maintenance crew to start work on occupied floors at that hour? The floors are all covered in an ancient carpet that’s got wrinkles all throughout. On every floor. It’s really dingy. That said, the room was comfortable, air conditioned and the king size bed was super comfortable. Definitely a hotel from a by-gone era that they are doing NOTHING to update.

**Review for Hotel Leon** I love this hotel! It is friendly, safe, and conveniently located in the center of everything. As soon as you step out, you have access to shops, transportation, food, medical services, entertainment, and more. The staff is incredibly friendly. The young guys operating the vintage elevator are courteous and always ready to help, adding a charming touch to the experience. The front desk staff is also very nice; they even booked our taxi to the airport. The hotel is very clean, and the restaurant is fancy with delicious food. However, I do have a few suggestions for improvement. It would be great if the rooms included a hairdryer, an iron, a coffee maker or water warmer, and especially a small refrigerator to keep water cool, as it gets very hot in Leon. They mentioned that some rooms have refrigerators, but it should be a standard feature in every room. The beds were a bit hard and tend to make you sweat, possibly due to a plastic covering. Updating the decor a bit could also elevate this hotel to a 5-plus star level. Despite these minor points, I loved my stay. The price is fantastic, and every time we visit Leon, we stay here because it is safe and offers great value. The vintage elevator is so cool—it felt like a step back in time. It's a great historic hotel, and I highly recommend it. Adding more historical facts about Hotel Leon in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, would also be a nice touch for guests.

Shabby
The staff was wonderful. And I liked the little tucked away bar. But! This hotel is very shabby, and rundown. The worse thing though, is that it smells. The room smelled, the hallways smell. And it is not a pleasant smell either.

The location is the best, it is right at the main park center. lots of shops downstairs. the hotel has great sound proof structure with double panel windows, so even though outside is partying, the room is super quiet. however, i do find lots of stains on the bedding and toilet seat. cleanness can see some improvement. overall, great place to stay, the hotel has lots of history with old fashioned elevator, which is very cool to experience.

Yet again, our second time staying here, the review remains the same. The hotel was wonderful, the staff was excellent. We stayed for a week and the rooms were cleaned everyday by a very hardworking nice lady. The hotel has a vintage elevator that is pretty cool. The staff was very respectful, nice and helpful. The front desk called for our taxi to take us to the airport and the driver was the same from last year, the taxi driver they have has been working for them for 25 years, he is extremely knowledgeable of the area, a very nice man. They are all very trustworthy, helpful and very nice. You are in the middle of Leon, everything is there right outside, it is secure and conveniently located. It was the most perfect stay. We highly recommend it!

2/10 Poor

The Room didn't have air conditions instead they place a floor stand fan. It was very hot. The toilet, sink and shower smells bad specially at night the view fron 3 windows from the room was Walls with cracks looks like ready to collapse I took pictures from my phone and ready to post it so can customers think about twice before booking there, a pair of shorts Adidas brand disappear from one night to the other. I report all of this issues and nobody give a answer, I report it to Expedia, the next I left the room and the customer service representative try to talk to someone at the Hotel Leon they told her that Nobody speaks English, that's a laid cause I see a bunch of Americans at the restaurant I can public the picture I took anytime upon request. HONESTLY I DON'T RECOMMEND IT TO ANYBODY, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED IT, you may see the pictures of the lobby looking nice but the room I was assigned # 219 forget it, my wife and my self were very DISAPPOINTED IT.
