Room needs attention, it is supposedly a 4 star establishment, lots of damp marks on walls and bathroom seems to only have a light coat of paint on walls. I am only 1.72m tall and the beds were too short for me and my wife, our feet was hanging over edge.

The Lodge is a bit dated and whilst comfortable, there were a few issues with the room. The desk chair was rickety, the desk lamp didn’t work, the heater foot was broken and the aircon remote needed new batteries.

Value for money
On our arrival we were received very friendly and warmly. When entering our room it was very spacious and comfortable. Even the bed for our 6 year old granddaughter was ready. The rusks and coffee was a great luxury, especially for our 6 year old; when she though there is a rusk shortage she went to the dinning room and every time she was spoiled with extra rusks. Overall, we had a wonder time staying at the The Lodge at Atlantic Beach and their hospitality is no where else to found.. The Lodge at Atlantic Beach is highly recommended.

A great place to stay! Very friendly staff always looking to help and quick with suggestions and ideas of places to see. Good golf course (difficult in the wind) and facilities even despite the drought and water shortage. It is some way outside of Cape Town, but within 30 minutes you are in the centre of town, or the winelands.

We stayed at the Lodge for a wedding at Atlantic Beach. Apart from being very convenient, it was a superb little Lodge to stay over at. The only negative would possibly be the breakfast which was extremely basic, but not enough to put us off staying there again. Highly recommended especially for functions at Atlantic Beach or in the area
