The room:
The heater was broken during the first few days of our stay and the room was cold.
It took several days for the staff members to find the ironing board.
The room was impractical: no toaster, there was only a nightstand on one side of the bed, nothing to hold the hand soap in the bathroom, no shelving in the shower.
The room constantly smelled of sewage.
The cleaning was never done properly.
The lock on our door was broken and we got locked in our room several times.
There were often parties held at the hotel, causing late night noise.
Customer service:
I asked to talk to a manager and was told that they were busy and would call my room but they never called and I was never able to speak to them.
The cleaning crew walked into my room without warning every morning, even on days that they were not scheduled to clean.
A member of the cleaning crew walked into my room after I yelled not to come in, walked all the way into the shower room where I was standing naked, and talked to me while I was trying to hide my body from them.
The cleaning crew knocked on our door even when we had the “do not disturb sign” hanging.
Amenities:
The water dispenser in the gym was broken and/or empty every day.
The massage we paid extra for was uncomfortable because the room was so cold.
The spa wasn’t very hot and one was broken, so there were always too many people to enjoy it.
There was not a washer or dryer, despite it being a long-term stay hotel.
