We stayed one night at the Novotel Mumbai International Airport Hotel before a long flight to the UK. While there were some highlights, several issues left us disappointed.
Positives: The rooms are spacious, providing ample comfort. We chose the half-board option, which was enjoyable with a good selection of dishes. The 12th-floor bar stood out—the Bloody Mary and beers were excellent, and the bartender was exceptionally helpful and attentive. Breakfast the next morning offered a variety of options, including freshly cooked omelettes, and check-out was quick and efficient.
Negatives: After dinner in our room around 8 PM, we were disturbed by loud noise from an event on the upper floors. While reception said they’d check with security, it took two calls and 15 minutes to confirm an event was happening. We were offered a room change, which was appreciated but inconvenient. The new room, on the opposite side of the hotel, was quieter but had a terrible odour coming from the wardrobe, likely due to its proximity to a neighbouring bathroom. For a hotel of Novotel’s calibre, this was unacceptable.
Conclusion: While there are positives—spacious rooms, great bar service, and a decent breakfast—the noise issues, inconvenient room change, and odour left a poor impression. Sadly, I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it until these issues are resolved.
