Nice hotel but beware of dogs

This hotel was amazing. Great location great staff. We would have given it perfect marks except that it is “dog friendly” which is awesome, but it also means dogs are allowed in the dining room and the one that was there when we were there barked and growled at everyone all through breakfast and I suspect it was the same one who barked all night. I love dogs, but that was too much. There was a garden with tables, they should have eaten there.

I loved staying here. It’s within walking distance of the Abbey, the staff is super friendly and the rooms are very clean. They were super accommodating as I was getting married at Tintern. Definitely recommend staying here.

This has a wonderful stay so difficult to put anything that could be viewed as negative, however I do have one thing that would have made my stay even better. Milk, I was delighted to hear that fresh milk was provided rather than long life. However, there was no bottle in the room when I arrived so I asked for one, was given it with no problem. The following morning a new bottle arrived so took it in but as I was off for work meetings none of it was used but had hoped it would be in the room later wh

Too place to stay when travelling with a dog

Our stay was fabulous. The room was so clean and comfortable, a huge bed with lovely crisp linen. Food was beyond excellent. This hotel is truly dog friendly with our furry friend being allowed every where that we went. They supplied a very comfy dog bed for her too.

Wonderful hotel in Tintern

Wonderful welcome especially for our four-legged friend Archie. Beautiful room with a box of treats for the dog (biscuits, bowl, a ball and poop bags). Very comfortable room with a dog bed. Delicious dinner in the Wild Hare. Service was good and, again, they looked after Archie with some leftover steak treats. Lovely breakfast the following morning. Friendly staff and top-class hotel. Very clean. Highly recommended

Pet heaven.

We stayed at the hotel for just one night but wished we had stayed longer, the hotel is very pet friendly our room was a chalet type room overlooking a grassed area again superb for our dogs. Our room was excellent and very well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and very clean. the hotel has two dining rooms and you can take your pet with you when you dine in the bar dining room if you wish. The hotel is situated in a lovely part of the world and we can highly recommend, we will definitely return.

Extremely welcoming staff. They were falling over themselves to ensure that we did not want for anything. All the meals were delicious and more than enough per portion. Would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Price for room booking was not accurate on Expedia and we were asked to then pay an additional fee at the front desk. Would recommend to call to confirm before booking.
