"The location of this hotel was amazing. 2 min walk to the beach and ample free parking in a public car park 500m away. Good sized room for 2 adults and a child. Indoor pool free to use and very clean. Helpful staff at check in although breakfast a little expensive. Thank you for a lovely stay. "

Castle has an interesting history and ornate facade and is complete with Rapunzel tower and grand salon. Our room was up high with a pleasant view of the drive. Owners are developing and has lots of potential. Owner keen to please. Calm and relaxing environment."

"Odd smells in both the room and bathroom that persisted throughout our stay. Only two towels and one for the floor, so none to dry hands for example. To wash our hands we had to climb into the shower to get soap.
The staff was nice and the breakfast decent.

"We visited La Rochelle to watch the women’s rugby, the hotel was walkable distance to the stadium. The room was quite small but really well appointed, very modern with lovely finishes, furniture, linen etc and the rest of the hotel was the same. It was right on the water, so ver scenic and easy to park too. It’s around a 20 min to the centre for restaurants mind you. I would certainly recommend staying here. Very nice staff too."

"I booked for 9 people, 2 families, 4 adults and 5 kids. They provided 3 rooms, fitting 1 or 2 adults per room. Not the best idea if the family wanta to stay together. The rooms were clean, but very minimalistic and tiny. Reception was servicing french speaking guests first, then the rest. One of the rooms was not prepared for our arrival. I would never come back as a family, however i might stay as a single person."
