Was shocked when we arrived as it was on the main road and not what I imagined. Photos showed lots of garden greenery so I expected a large park like area which wasn't there. The rooms were set back so we're quiet. The room was nice. Food good in restaurant and huge meals. Breakfast excellent.
We stayed at this hotel as it has more parking available. We were travelling on the ferry to Kristinsand. The room was larger than expected and comfortable. There were no shampoo sachets only body wash in the shower. Breakfast was ok and parking was no problem as there is a large area at the back of the hotel. The town of Kristinsand was not anything special. It is only a place to stay before the ferry trip. Make sure you book your ticket for the fast ferry.
From the check in we were extremely pleased with the service & information we received. Britt, who checked us in gave us informative local knowledge and her obvious pleasure at being able to share stories of the area was very refreshing. The other reception staff also gave us great service. The location was easy to find and well situated to enable us to enjoy Skagen. Breakfast was average, with one or two hot food options - hard boiled eggs and omelet.
