We were on the second floor in the loft apartment and it was very spacious and clean. The hotel was a little far from the center but we had a car so it wasn't that big of a deal. The roads leading in are all dirt so you need a jeep or truck. They were working on the road to get it ready to pave but I was told this has been going on for at least six months. The road conditions are bad so be prepared for dust, pot holes and speed bumps. Luckily there was some construction on the mean road.

Our first time back in Belize in 18 years . Umaya was the perfect place. The views over the lagoon towards the Maya mountains are perfect backdrop after a day at the beach and pool.
