"Staying at hotel America was like staying in a Soviet era tower block in Moscow in the 1970s. My room was very cold and I had to request heating to be put on. Even with the extra (old and grubby) blanket I was cold all night. The room has probably not been updated since the building was constructed so the bright blue bathroom suite with missing plugs was like something from the 1970s. On the positive side, public areas are clean and up-to-date and the staff are pleasant. The amount charged by this hotel is probably influenced by the fact that there are few hotels in the area. This is not value for money and I would avoid staying here if at all possible."

"The room was comfortable but not 5 star. Did not have down blankets or pillows. Toilet paper was so rough it was like sandpaper. Restaurant was fair. Staff was very nice."

Acomodates for tour buses too, accessible elevator, large free parking area. Large, meticulously clean dining room with full brkt buffet & omelet bar made to order."

"Highly recommend staying here. The breakfast is outstanding, possibly the best we have ever had anywhere. The owners are lovely, interesting and knowledgeable. The area is incredible for cycling and the owners can point you to the best rental facilities around. There is an evening picnic option which is delicious - warm fresh bread, can add cheese, meats, wines/cava and Martha made us delicious salads. Lovely option after a long day of cycling. Would rebook in an instant!"
