Learn more about Winston

Venture into the wild at Wildlife Safari, where giraffes and rhinos roam freely across 600 acres of Oregon countryside. After watching zebras from your car window, follow the gentle curves of the South Umpqua River on foot. Wine enthusiasts can sample bold tempranillos at Abacela Winery, where Spanish grape varieties thrive in the unexpected terroir. Stewart Park offers peaceful respite with walking trails and picnic spots beneath towering firs. History buffs should detour to the Douglas County Museum in Roseburg to discover the region's fascinating past. The small-town atmosphere belies the world-class wildlife experience that draws visitors from across the country to this unassuming corner of the Pacific Northwest.

The Wildlife Safari is such an awesome place! It has been around for 38 years and was one of my favorite places I ever visited as a child. My children feel the same after visiting in the summer of 2014.
This 600 acre park is home to over 500 animals and features a drive through park as well as a walk through viewing area, cafe and gift shop.
One of our favorite parts is in a particular area of the drive-thru park, you can buy food and feed the animals which are emus and different types of deer from your car. Get your camera ready as hilarity ensues!

With these tips, you'll be well-equipped to secure affordable accommodation for your next getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel’s location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your dates may help you save on your stay at a hotel in Winston. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and potentially better value.
