Imagine strolling along Port of Tangier for some great waterfront pics. It's located 0.6 mi (1 km) from central Tangier. If you carry on walking you'll get to Tangier Ferry Terminal, Tangier Beach, and Tanja Marina Bay for some more water views.
Commune with nature and explore the great outdoors at Hercules Caves during your travels in Tangier. While you're in the area, stroll along the waterfront.
"Hotel was nice, unfortunately the pool was being renovated and parts of the hotel. Although we did know this before we arrived. So scored amenities lower.
Staff were helpful.
Breakfast was good.
We had a sea view which was nice, but the room was hot, already moved rooms once so decided to stay with room even though couldn’t get air con to work.
Had windows open but the busy Main Street was noisy with racers during the night.
Good location, walkable from port. Old town, shopping and restaurants all nearby.
Lovely sandy beach across the road.
Beach was very littered though.
All in all good hotel for Tangiers."
"Fantastic place to stay - one bed studio apartment with a sea view balcony. Amazing price and value for money - really spacious apartment and very well maintained and decorated throughout. Only a 10 minute walk to the beach and a host of places to eat. A bit far from the old town, but easily reached along the promenade if you don’t mind a scenic walk. Also only a 20 minute walk from the train station. You have to pay extra for the breakfast buffet, but it’s very reasonable for the spread available. Would definitely stay again."
"Rooms very clean….
Wooden floors washed everyday
Beds very comfortable.
Breakfast good and most importantly excellent coffee and staff.
Everyone very helpful… just right …
Lovely style hotel… old school… great atmosphere."
"The reception area when you enter the Movenpick Hotel in Tangier is very impressive. My wife and I were greeted by the lovely concierge team and one of the team members in a full Moroccan outfit served us nice hot mint tea.
The front desk member Faical was very kind and attentive and showed us our room which had a beautiful sea view.
The hotel manager Mohamed was also very helpful throughout our stay and Manal at the reception also assisted my wife and I when we needed any help or advice on where to go for sightseeing and shopping. They were all a shining example of warm Moroccan hospitality.
The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of different food. The staff were also very helpful and friendly.
The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. The bathrooms were also a good size. The rooms need some maintenance work and generally need to be updated as they are looking old and dated.
The hotel is in a wonderful location with beach access. Unfortunately the pool was closed due to maintenance. There is also a very nice park/gardens across the road. Most small taxi rides from the hotel to the Centre Shopping Mall cost between 10-20 Dirhams.
We stayed for 3 nights and had a good experience. Hopefully the management can start work on updating the rooms soon."
"The location is excellent for those guests looking to rest a lot. It's a bit annoying the difficulties to find transportation immediately, as the only option is a free ride to downtown at 10am. No taxis or cabs in the vicinity, so the only option is to request in advance a ride to downtown, for a $100. A bit expensive.
Some inconvenients during the rush hour for breakfast, as was very difficult to find a clean table. However, after I informed the administration, immediately measures were taken, to solve the problem, at least partially. Personally, appreciated the gesture and the commitment to help from the staff.
If you want to stay at this hotel for a few days, consider to rent a car. The traffic is not too heavy and the roads in good condition. Going to the downtown area by car takes 40 minutes. The beach looks great, but, unfortunately, still very cold and windy in March. I am sure that should be great in summer."
