"Check in was really smooth but I forgot to confirm if my room was a king bed so ended up in a double. Upon first call I was told the next day I could move and the following day staff did not follow through. Not too big of deal but I had a cute birthday photo idea I had planned so that room was not ideal.
Moving on the restaurant and bar staff were amazing! Juan was so friendly and made the best kettle one martini I had my entire trip. Breakfast was lovely with a nice variety each day. Snack and dinner menu also very yummy. I went out to a nearby popular restaurant for my last night and regretted not staying at hotel.
Pool area is very nice and relaxing. I only wish they offered poolside cocktail service to make it even better.
The Spa was a good experience but could use some newer and softer robes. My deep tissue massage was phenomenal and they fit me in around my activities. The tea and light snack were a nice touch.
Overall I was happy with my stay. No you cannot access beach directly across the beach but there are endless shores from left to right. Quick and cheap uber rides into the central town were very convenient. "
"Beautiful property in prime location. You are walkable to everything. Close to the action but quiet neighborhood. Staff was so friendly and wonderful people. I forgot my makeup bag and cleaning staff rushed out to bring it. I’ve never had a hotel do that when I left something behind. The hotel massage at the their spa was one of the best massages I ever had. Wonder wonderful. Concierge service was very helpful with booking tours and transportation ensuring the best and fair pricing. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Bastión."
"It was an okay stay. The bellman at the front, Alberto, was really nice and made my stay better. He was the nicest. The other staff, in my opinion, not so pleasant. The hotel is in a good spot in Bocagrande, within walking distance of many restaurants and money exchange spots also the hotel is pretty clean and tidy "
"We had a great stay at Mood Matuna. Having a hotel in such a central location was so useful. We were able to easily walk to the old town and Getsemani also. The room with the private pool was a god choice as it was so hot and nice to cool off after a walk around.
The area around the hotel did have some people sleeping on the streets but no one bothered us in fact the people in general were really helpful and friendly including the staff at the hotel.
The room was cleaned thoroughly each day and clean towels left when we needed them.
Overall a great four nights in a central location."
