10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful stay! I will definitely stay again. The place is beautiful, the staff are fabulous, and the location is perfect—it’s close to everything. Highly recommend!"
"The location was a little further from Kyoto station than I'd expected but very walkable if you've minimal luggage ... it's reasonably priced for the standard of the hotel which is excellent.
My only gripe was that there was step down access to the hotel rather than a ramp option so struggled a bit with the bags - I'm sure someone would have come from the reception had I asked though as staff were very helpful.
Other than that - the quality of the decor, lay-out, services etc were all excellent. I used the laundry facilities which was helpful by the stage of my trip I was at! Also I appreciated the free drinks and snacks in the reception area - including saké - so I got to try things I might not have otherwise.
The room was really spacious with Japanese style - tea and coffee facilities (and a fridge) included which was nice as I didn't have the breakfast option being on a budget and open to buy out. The trolley was on wheels so was able to move it nearer an electric point for the kettle to plug in!
I had a comfortable couple of nights here and would definitely recommend. "
"The spa was relaxing and a novel experience. Make sure you read up on Japanese bath customs before you decide to visit it! The staff was courteous and helpful. The Blossom restaurant is worth visiting. The breakfast buffet is delicious, but the dinner is even better. My husband could not stop raving about the phenomenal steak he ate! While in Kyoto, I would definitely stay at the Blossom."
