"The LaQuinta Inn has great staff, a good breakfast, a good swimming pool and a good hot tub. The initial access is a little weird in that you cross an old parking lot and drive by a closed restaurant that's run down. But it's a good hotel once you're there. The parking is good. We'd stay there again. "
"You can tell this hotel was once a beautiful and lively property, and it’s honestly a little sad to see how much it now seems to be struggling. Unfortunately, our stay was not very comfortable. The room was extremely hot, and the thermostat appeared to be broken. We tried using the fan, but it was so loud that it made it difficult to sleep.
The property itself feels very dated and in need of upkeep. There was also a noticeable cigarette smoke smell throughout the hotel, and the toilet in our room would only flush if the handle was held down for nearly a minute.
The surrounding area did not feel especially welcoming, and while I understand hotels often serve a wide variety of people, the overall atmosphere in the lobby added to the feeling that the property may be having a hard time maintaining its former standards.
I truly hope the owners are able to reinvest in and restore this hotel someday, because you can still see hints of the charm it must have once had."
"The WOW was in the details. The hotels design is rustic and chic. Detail was paid in the decor, furnishings, the extras, and the friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay. Sadly we lost a night due to travel cancellations. We traveled for BSU graduation…. What a great weekend. We celebrated with drinks on the roof that were delish! I really like the quality blow dryer, the charging pad for my phone, the chocolates, the robes, the textures and colors all played to a relaxed but timeless feel…everything was well done. Thank you for making it a great weekend. We will be back!"
