We stayed 3 nights. The ambience was excellent with lake views and expansive grounds. The hotel was not too big, and the food was excellent quality. The staff were attentive and delivered top rate service. The room was comfortable with excellent quality bedding, bathroom towels and accessories.

We thoroughly enjoyed our six night stay at the Salutation Hotel based right in the heart of Ambleside. The room was quite spacious and well appointed with views over the town. service was very pleasant and helpful and the included breakfast was of a high standard. Parking was sometimes a bit tight but we always managed a spot. there are many excellent restaurants close by and, of course, Ambleside is a good central location from which to explore the Lakes. highly recommended.

This is a lovely old building with a lot of character. Parking was included in our room rate and when we visited, we had no issues with finding a car park within the hotel grounds. Our room was spacious, and gave us everything we needed. It was quiet and the bed was very comfy. It was a short easy walk into town. We ate both breakfast and dinner there daily. Both were at additional cost to our room rate, but we felt we got good value. The 45.00 GBP pp for a 3 course evening meal was...

Our family of four stayed in the three bedroom apartment for a few days over Christmas. We arrived to a warm welcome and help up the stairs with our bags. The room was great with a wonderful mezzanine, comfy lounge and good kitchen facilities. The bar was cozy and dining area was a good size, and the restaurant menu - including a special Christmas menu - was really good. The gym was awesome and having a pool was great too.

Beautiful Grounds, nice rooms! Food in the Conservatory was well below average to put it nicely. Breakfast was just okay. Pool and spa facilities were great although can get busy
