"We stayed for 3 nights. Friendly staff in the restaurant. Everything worked and the apartments are spacious and so cozy. Very baby friendly! Although a bit of noise at night from other guests. Overall great stay with a nice location. "

"I had a very enjoyable stay at AHORN Harz Hotel Braunlage. The location is ideal for exploring the Harz mountains, and the views from the room were lovely. The room itself was clean and comfortable, though a bit dated in style. Breakfast was varied and tasty, with something for everyone. Staff were helpful and friendly, and there were plenty of amenities like the pool and sauna to enjoy after a day of hiking. "Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."
