It is a Very elegant hotel located in a valley with a creek passing. They provide a variety local meal. The lobby and lounge + library are impressive. A good place for a break from metropolitan busy life.

This hotel is a hidden gem with helpful and friendly staff.
Feels like a b&b with cooked breakfast, games area for adults and kids.
The staff went above and beyond - helping us with transport to our next destination, making calls (in Japanese) and driving us to our shuttle connection.
Rooms were comfortable and warm.
It’s about 10mins from the town centre but they do offer pick up and drop offs from the train, and it makes it quiet and peaceful.
Highly recommend!

Had an authentic Japanese ryokan experience. We opted for the Japanese style bedding with half board. So the complete tatami mats, sliding shoji doors and futton bedding. Dinner was Kaiseki, and fugu was on the menu, simply amazing! Staff is also very nice and polite. I definitely highly recommend Tsuyu Ryokan!
