We enjoyed our single night stay at the Hyatt House Leeds. The hotel was very convenient to Leeds main train station and walkable to the city centre. The room was comfortable and amenities good.
The breakfast buffet offer was good but would have been nice for the food to be a little warmer than it was.
The onsite guest laundry was a bonus but would suggest signage that advises hotel patrons that washing or drying could be removed if the cycle has finished so other patrons could utilise the...

Instead of my usual "budget accommodation" I "splashed out "and spent two nights at the Talbot Hotel as a short break during a drive from the Scottish Highlands to Midlands. Well worth every penny. Extremely comfortable bed, lovely décor and a brilliant shower. Ideal location, close to a number of tourist attractions and Whitby and a short walk from the main street of town. Plenty of parking. If visiting Yorkshire I would definitely stay here again.

Very spacious room with super comfy bed and lovely furnishings. Clean and well located for 10 mins walk into town. Ask for room on lower level if you don’t like stairs, not a problem for us but could be for some

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel near Yorkshire
Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly period to visit Yorkshire is from January to March, when hotel prices are generally lower. A stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended to fully appreciate the region's significant landmarks and cultural offerings. During your visit, you could explore various historical sites, dine at affordable restaurants, and enjoy the local museums, all while experiencing Yorkshire's friendly atmosphere. This trip offers great value for money, allowing you to immerse yourself in the rich history and vibrant culture without overspending.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Yorkshire, visit the Deals or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don’t miss potential savings. The Smart Shopping tool, available via the app, allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you're more likely to see the best options. If prices drop or rooms become available, you'll be among the first to know, perfect for a spontaneous getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay near a hotel in Yorkshire. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised touch and often represent better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll suggest more affordable dates, which may help you secure a better deal.
Consider your location: Opting for accommodation closer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience but often comes with a higher price tag. For more affordable options, consider hotels situated in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to your intended destinations. You might also explore independent hotels located further afield, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
