Niigata Prefecture Hotels with Hot Springs

I love love LOVED our stay. I have been telling everyone about. The service was wonderful. The staff were amazing. Of all the accommodation we stayed in during our trip, this place had the most authentic and special vibe to it. From greeting us at arrival, to the moment of check out, I was impressed with every aspect of the stay: the traditional room, the beautiful garden and waterfall, the onsens, the meals and especially, the lovely service. Do yourself a favour, and stay here.

Family of 5, booked 2 rooms with ensuites. Everything was great from the amenities to the food and helpful staff. The Ryokan is around a 300-500m walk from the ski lifts however they offer a shuttle service every morning. You can also reserve the shuttle at other times to head out to restaurants etc.

Very relaxing location. Private onsen was a really nice addition.

Not far from the snow resort though there is a hotel shuttle every half hour till 6pm. Breakfast included very good pay a bit extra for a room on 5 or 6 floor with window view you won't regret it, what a view to wake up to. Library with Japanese books, museum and even a table tennis table make for an enjoyable stay.

We stayed here for three nights while skiing in Hakuba. We thought we would try a Japanese room and it was a wonderful experience. The beds were comfortable, the room had excellent heating, the staff were all AMAZING! The onsen was beautiful, especially while it was snowing outside. The restaurants were delicious and breakfast was a feast. We would recommend staying here and wold love to come back and stay again. Thank you

Excellent hotel, the room was very spacious. Great buffet breakfast selection. Friendly staffs. Free shuttle bus to Yuzawa station every 30 mins. The snow resort is right next to the hotel; however, it was not yet opened when we were there (mid December) We had to travel to Kagura.

Lawson is 2 min walk. Onsen is great We stayed on top floor 5th floor, lift only goes to 4th floor unfortunately, so carry up luggage 25 steps. Might need help if you struggle with heavy lifting Room is spacious. Lobby lounge comfy. Well family ran hotel. Shuttle bus runs frequently morning till 6pm. The shuttle bus at echigo station stops on the right side as you come out the sliding door of the station if you are looking for it. There is ski rental if needed. Small souvenirs...

Hotel Futaba truly exceeded our expectations. We stayed as a family of five, and the room was incredibly spacious, more like staying in an apartment than a hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to find that both breakfast and dinner were included, which was a huge bonus and meant we didn’t have to go out searching for food after a long day of snowboarding. The property is ideal for groups snowboarding or skiing. A 15 minute walk from the Yuzawa-Gala gondola, which is also the train station. There is also a ski and snowboard rental place 100 metres down the road which offer reasonable pricing, good service and a bus/van drop off service.

Room was spotless. Staff went above and beyond. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. The onsen was beautiful.
