You can stroll along Port of Trieste for relaxing water views when you're in Trieste City Centre. If you carry on walking you'll get to Pedocin, Marina San Giusto, and Bagno Ausonia for some more water views.
If being by the water is a major draw, Lignano Sabbiadoro Beach is a spot you might want to check out, located 0.7 mi (1.2 km) from central Lignano Sabbiadoro. If you want to continue walking by the waves, head to Doggy Beach and Spiaggia Libera, both within a short walk.
Check out the water views and take some great holiday pics at Laghi di Fusine in Tarvisio. Want to stretch your legs a little more? Head to Zelenci Nature Reserve, located nearby.
Great hotel right on the main square with an outside restaurant where you can have breakfast and look out to the sea across the square. It also has an amazing pool area in the basement. Only problem is that the WiFi isn't that great however you can use the free Trieste WiFi while having breakfast outside info the square. The hotel seems recently refurbished and had old world charm

A beautiful setting completely surrounded by the spectacular Dolomite Mountains. Very professional and welcoming staff in all areas of the hotel. Outstanding facilities ie spa areas and pool. The room was well equipped but a little on the small side with only a small window.

A very clean, comfortable and welcoming hotel with outstanding views from our room balcony. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The open fire at night and good whiskey at the bar made this a memorable stay in the Dolomites. It's proximity to the bus station was also a great advantage.

Lovely just walking around the grounds and just soaking uo the atmosphere or days gone by

Overall we had a pleasant stay, but a few things were disturbing. We booked a sea view room more than 8 months in advance, they allocated the worst possible room with very obstructed view. No beach towels, no kettle, very dated feel... Big positive is a free use of thermal pools, which we loved.
