We really enjoyed our stay at the Ohla hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were modern, bed comfortable and it had all the facilities that you would expect of a hotel of this kind. My only gripe is that the toilet is hidden behind a door and while this gives privacy - there is no ventilation or air flow - so it's not great. However, besides that - the hotel was perfect for us. Location is fantastic - Gothic and Born neighbourhoods on the doorstep - heaps of...

Probably the best location in Barcelona, this is a fabulous hotel, if possible reserve a room with a view of the Cathedral, it is something special. A must is the rooftop bar for a glass of bubbles. The hotel itself was immaculate, we stayed for 3 days. The staff are very attentive and eager to help, super friendly. We couldn't recommend Hotel Colon too highly!

This hotel was one of the most welcoming hotels i have stayed in around the world. All staff from reception to cleaners were lovely. They offer a nightly complementary happy hour which as a solo traveller allows an easy introduction to others.
The pool is a little small and was always quite occupied when i was on the roof, but a great location to sit and read a book (whilst enjoying a cocktail).
Only downside would be the lack of a restaurant for food, but there are some great locations nearby....

The best service I’ve had in a hotel in a very long time. From accommodating an early check in, friendly staff, and excellent buffet brekky that includes free champagne to making us an early morning lunch box to take on the plane. Thanks team.

I am going to save you a few hours work researching hotels in Barcelona. If this hotel is in your price range book it..
It’s that simple.
The hotel is in an beautiful old building in the centre of the gothic area, as soon as you walk out the door you are on the kind of streets your suitcase will hate, but is one of the reason you are looking at this area in the first place.
Once you get in, the hotel looks awesome, it has been completely renovated with a very modern elevator to take you to the...

My partner and I were welcomed by wonderful staff straight away. The room was perfect and quiet - I particularly loved the colour palette used in the room. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was roomy. We have a tiny balcony overseeing the wonderful pool area below. The rooftop bar offers amazing views of the beachside, and the bartender makes the most awesome drinks (I think he gives us double shots every time!) - it's a nice area to chill out and watch the world go by. We were very happy with this Hotel and could not find any faults. It was fantastic to have a pool in the summer heat.
The rooms were clean and well serviced. Bath towels are enormous!
The location is excellent and very central to the Gothic Quarter, Placa de Catalunya, and other stores and transport.
Staff went out of their way to be helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We felt particularly well supported by Xavier, Zak and Martina.
We will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

This is a really comfortable and friendly hotel. I was in a single room, and from the photos of the web I expected it to be pretty small, but it wasn't at all. The hotel is quiet, but is still within walking distance of many of Barcelona's sites - Sagrada Famiglia, Casa Batllo, and the Egyptian Museum. The rooftop pool and bar is also recommended on a warm evening.

The reception and bar staff were brilliant. Each once of the guys was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed some lovely cocktails and beers at the bar. We never had breakfast but enjoyed a croissant and coffee each morning, which was nice.
We found the location out of the way, and we spent quite a bit of money on taxis and Uber. Still, Barcelona also has a very efficient and inexpensive public transport system available to us.
The shower was intense and hot, which was lovely after a whole day out...

Really enjoyed our stay at Catalonia Avinyo. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. Had my best coffee here and wines from the bar vary nice (and we're fussy).
Very close to Leuce metro and La Rambla. Irish pub across the road served simple but delicious hamburgers when we were too tired to go further afield.
