"The hotel is situated in the beautiful Alfama district. Some might say it’s far away, but the hotel is connected to the train and metro station so it’s easy to get to where you need without climbing a million stairs. The hotel is also very sound proof considering we are just above the railway! We also couldn’t hear any other guests from inside our room which is rare. Great a/c and lovely bed linens made for restful sleeps. Would book again on our next visit to Lisbon."

The Apartment was spacious, in a great location in old city & Marina was super helpful as our host (was able to source very good city & Sintra guides). The Prada grocery store below which served as a bistro in the evenings was great for small plates & non preservative local wines. Highly recommend. Breakfast bags are delivered to your room each morning - something different each day.

Great location. We would stay here again. Note that while it says a hotel, it is more like an Air B&B. We picked the keys up from remote location. Staff were lovely at the pick up location and messaged us to make sure we were happy. I would stay here again.

Lovely renovated and secure apartment block with nine apartments in total. Windows are double glazed to block out the noise. Easy to walk to the different areas of downtown and felt safe at all times. Lots of places close by to eat.

1. Great location: In a lovely, quiet neighbourhood bursting with history. I found it easy to walk to all the main sites from the hotel (there is the option to catch the tram or taxi for anyone with wobbly knees). Also, it's really special/interesting to walk amongst the heritage of Alfama while seeing the contrast of contemporary street art.
2. Staff: All helpful, lovely and nice. Especially Luis! He helped me organise a tour at the very last minute :)
3. Other: Super comfortable and clean...

The staff at Solar dos Mouros were excellent to deal with and catered for our needs both efficiently and pleasantly. The hotel was very well located in the older part of Lisbon to experience that area, yet also very near the main tourist and eateries areas. The room was well kept and very clean with a rooftop cafe offering views of the harbour. Happy to recommend this hotel to all other travellers.

During your visit, you can explore a variety of historical sites, including picturesque churches, impressive cathedrals, and fascinating monuments, all while enjoying the charming urban architecture that Alfama has to offer. By planning your trip during these months, you could take advantage of potential price drops, making it a great value for money experience.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Alfama, consider exploring the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted accommodation rates as your travel date approaches. It's wise to enable email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and exclusive promotions, so you don't miss potential savings. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature available in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. With these tools, you're more likely to find the best options for your last-minute getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel’s location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could potentially help you save on your stay at an Alfama hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and occasionally offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that might be more affordable, increasing the likelihood of securing the best deal.
Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres can provide convenience, but it often comes with a higher price tag. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and ease of access to the places you wish to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, which are usually likely to be more affordable and can offer a more authentic experience.
