"We always stay at the Hyatt Centric when we travel to Hong Kong. Highly recommend booking a corner suite. The view of the harbour at night is so beautiful and you wake up thinking you’re in the sky. Looking forward to our next stay. Shout out to White, from the concierge team. He was so helpful with communicating with our driver to Shenzhen and loading our bags onto to the car when it didn’t seem like it was going to fit."

This is a wonderful hotel. Clever. Attentive. Great attention to detail. I felt truly welcome and not at all like I was being set up to be screwed over. For example, free drinks in the minibar. Free telephone calls both national, international and to mobiles. Free WiFi. A really really good restaurant with food worth eating. If only all hotels could be like this...

I stayed at Lanson Place for 8 nights.
Hotel is located really central in Causeway Bay - close to convenience stores and good restaurants (Xiao Long Bao is across the road).
The good:
- Comfortable, well-sized room.
- Hotel guests are given a Handy phone with free 3G across the city and free international calls to some countries. I can't overstate how great it was having a free phone with access to Google Maps.
- Hotel room was full of free goodies (food, drinks, etc) upon check-in

We were blown away by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The facilities especially the club lounge and the swimming pool area were excellent. The location was handy to the MTR and Star Ferry as well as being centrally located first several Hong Kong Island districts. The view from our room was amazing (Room 4013).

Great Hotel!! Fantastic hotel which feels very cosy. The rooms have more of a funky apartment vibe, and definitely are a very welcome change to the dour rooms normally found in 5 star hotels. Good location surrounded by plenty of restaurants. This place leaves you wanting for nothing, I will certainly be returning.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Wan Chai
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Wan Chai is from May to July, when hotel prices are generally lower. For a thorough exploration of the area's key landmarks, cultural sites, and urban attractions, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended. This duration allows you to fully appreciate the shopping, dining, and architectural marvels, as well as the stunning scenery and vibrant art scene that Wan Chai has to offer. Travelling on a budget during these months provides great value for money, and prices for accommodations may drop even further, making it an ideal time for a cost-effective getaway.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Wan Chai, visit the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on nearby hotels as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you could stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, increasing your chances of saving. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you make informed choices. With these resources, you’re more likely to see opportunities for cheap hotel deals in Wan Chai as they arise.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at a hotel in Wan Chai. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you find the best deal.
Consider your location: Staying closer to key attractions or city centres can offer convenience, but it often comes with a higher price tag. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and ease of access to the sites you wish to visit. You may also explore independent hotels located a bit further out, which are usually more likely to provide a more genuine and budget-friendly experience.
