Friendly staff and clean hotel walkable to station

Free shuttle to take you to transport and main town, drivers are great and so obliging. Local town is beautiful with great restaurants. Can not speak highly enough of the facility and hospitality. Bed super comfortable, staff accommodating. We had been travelling all night, tired +++, they showed us quiet area by lake with sunbeds to relax, got us into our room early so we could sleep, made sure we we had food and drink. Awesome place to relax for a few days.

No fridge or bottled water in room. Only disappointment.

Headed to Como for a few days and stayed for week at the hotel. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. In may not have the 5 star trimmings but it doesn't have the 5 star prices either. I had an amazing room over looking the piazza. The rooms are very modern. Th ebed is super comfy and the bathroom and share were very large for an Italian hotel. The staff downstairs in the bar/cafe were fantastic and Florencia at reception is just fantastic. Great place would stay again.

The location is excellent close to the shopping, restaurants and ferry terminal. The rooms are good and quiet. A good hotel and recommended

It was a lovely hotel, stunning views and great customer service but the food portions were wayyyyyy too small like I went back to my room and had to eat chips as I was still starved. I’ll be back for sure though!

My stay at the Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola Lugano was one of the best Hotel experiences I have ever had. My room was exquisite especially my gorgeous balcony with fabulous views of Lake Lugano. The surrounding gardens were so manicured and breathtaking! I stayed at Castagnola for 5 nights and my daily breakfast was a treat to look forward to. Great hotel. Helpful pleasant staff explained the transport options and suggested places. Beautiful room, well lit and a great view of-the lake.comfortable bedding, modern bathroom. Wonderful breakfast. 200 m from the train station and funicular stop to downtown.
