Quirky unusual hotel with steam punk theme. Very comfortable and well equipped perfect location for Oamaru a place we visited for the penguins but were surprised to find much more of interest

Such a great little hotel! I stay in many hotels all around and this stay will definitely be remembered. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the overall room and amenities were great. Highly recommend!

Small and impractical room
It was converted from a bank building. Each room has a theme. It is interesting but very impractical. The size of the room is very small. Bathroom is good size. But the biggest problem with the room was there are no place to put anything. No shelves, table tops, chairs or drawers. We have to put everything on the floor. The bathroom also has no counter space or shelves. We have to put toiletries on the bed. Breakfast is very basic. Just cereals, oats, yogurt and fruits.
