There was no thermostat in the room. Could not control the temperature. The lighting was horrible. Had to bring my Milwaukee work light in so I could see. No hooks to hang anything on. Found a plastic bag filled with cigarette butts in the room.

if you need a bed for night...

The bed was comfortable and the rest of the lodging is best described as “rustic.” It appears they cater to fishermen and hunters and travelers with limited other options. Paper thin walls (and ceiling).

The room stunk so bad of cigarette smoke and alcohol we had to run the fan and open the window all night. I think they rented us the employee party room because they were full. The room was nothing like the pictures on the website. The carpet was dirty, ceiling tile was water stained, and the room smelled of musty odors. The beds were older and not comfortable. It was not a good experience.

The motel is right on Gogebic Lake. There is a restaurant on the property. The room was comfortable and clean.

We arrived late, the stairs were a little challenging due to dim lighting. The room had plenty of space, the full size refrigerator was great. An air conditioner would be nice in the living area. The owners were very helpful & hospitable.

    Lovely Lodge in central location

We loved our stay. We had a beautiful view of the lake and our room was cute with a door separating the living/kitchen area. We were in a central location for taking scenic drives and viewing waterfalls. It was only a 30 min drive to Lake Superior, which we felt was a short drive. We were able to go to Lake Superior at night and found 10 Yopper Light stones! I just wish the drive wasn't so long for us, because if it wasn't we would go back every year. Loved this place and the area.

Dont stay here, pictures on website not accurate

We had lovely, free half-eaten spaghetti and beer in our fridge from the last guests, showing how well their rooms are checked. Upon using the bathroom, I found it quite comforting that the toilet seat was crusted over with brown stuff, considering brown is my favorite color. The towels were moist and one was covered in hair, which reminded me of how my dog sheds. I miss my dog now, thank you. That night we got to hear creatures crawling along within our walls and inside the ceiling. I myself like mice, and want a pet mouse, but apparently they weren't free to take home, so I was very saddened."

Quaint lodge with a nice view.

This was a strange experience all around. First, Hotels.com informed me that the lodge requested that I email them directly as they would have reason to send 2 email msgs to me before my stay. I did email them my direct address, but I never received any communication from them. When we arrived, they offered us an upgraded room for $10 cash which we accepted in order to have A/C. The room itself was a small suite which was nicely furnished with plenty of kitchen amenities. It was very clean with a nice view of the lake. We chose to eat in the restaurant on site and this is where it went downhill. It took over an hour to even receive our food and there were only 2 parties in the place. My pizza was completely burnt and they didn't apologize for that or offer to make it again. We thought maybe they'd offer a discount as half of it was really not edible. But they didn't. It took forever to get any service and when we finally did, it was rather rude service. All in all, the lodge was spacious and clean, but the restaurant and service leave a lot to be improved upon.
